Camp Wild
Welcome to our 5th summer of friendship, adventure and Fun!

Camp Wild at Wild Roots is an award winning summer day camp for kids ages 4-12 (with counselor assistant opportunities for kids 13-18). We are located in the heart of Folsom, California under one of the oldest trees in town, and amongst our community garden. With a focus on outdoor fun, creativity, and personal growth, it’s the perfect way for kids to explore, learn, and make new friends. Our camp inspires campers to try new activities, build independence, make friends and take home memories that will last a lifetime.
Camp Wild is designed to promote social-emotional learning in a tech-free environment (leave your technology at home ). Our program helps campers build confidence, grow independence, forge friendships and develop important 21st century skills. Camp Wild proudly offers a different theme each week and camp days are full of self-directed exploration, learning, social emotional development, fun and usually a bit of a mess!

We believe a quality summer camp experience provides education, challenge, achievement and inclusivity. Our unique atmosphere allows all children to learn in a fun and safe environment that encourages independence while nurturing lasting friendships.

Our camps focus on activities and games that create a sense of community, enable our campers to make new friends and take home memories that will last a lifetime.

We welcome campers ages 4 to 12 (13-17 year olds can participate as a junior counselor) to participate in our full day from 9AM to 1pm and this year Camp Wild is offering extended day options until 4pm Monday through Friday. (except for the second and fourth weeks as we celebrate Juneteenth and 4th of July)

CAMP WILD 2025
Out of this World
June 9-13
Join us for an exciting journey through the cosmos at our Out of This World Summer Camp! This fun-filled camp is perfect for young space enthusiasts who want to explore the wonders of the universe. From learning about planets and stars to hands-on activities like building rockets and telescopes, campers will dive into the mysteries of space science in a way that’s both educational and entertaining. Whether it’s discovering the latest in space exploration or imagining life on other planets, this camp will inspire curiosity and creativity. Get ready for an adventure that's truly out of this world!
Color Wars
June 16-20 (No camp June 19)
​Get ready for a splash of creativity at Color Wars Summer Camp! This vibrant camp is all about having fun with color and art. Campers will dive into a variety of exciting art projects, from painting and tie-dying to colorful challenges and games. Whether it’s experimenting with different mediums or creating big, bold masterpieces, every day promises new ways to express creativity. Join us for a week of fun, laughter, and colorful adventures where imagination takes the lead!
Make your Own Magic
June 23-27
Step into a world of enchantment at Make Your Own Magic Summer Camp! This whimsical camp is perfect for kids who love all things magical. Each day will be filled with exciting activities inspired by unicorns, mermaids, fairies, and magicians. Campers will create their own potions, craft magical wands, and learn the art of spellbinding tricks. With plenty of imaginative fun, we’ll bring dreams to life as we dive into a world of fantasy and wonder. Get ready to create your own magic and make unforgettable memories!
Party in the USA
June 30- July 3 (No camp on Friday)
​Pack your bags for a cross-country adventure at Party in the USA Summer Camp! This fun-filled camp takes campers on a virtual road trip across America, where they'll "visit" different states and experience the unique culture, food, music, and activities each one has to offer. From exploring the beaches of California to the lively festivals of New Orleans, every day brings a new destination to celebrate. Get ready to party your way across the USA with exciting games, crafts, and fun surprises at every stop!
Eras Tour
July 7-11
Hop into the time machine and join us for the Eras Tour Summer Camp! This exciting camp takes campers on a journey through the decades, where they’ll experience the music, games, and food from the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, and more. Each day will be a blast from the past, with fun activities like retro dance-offs, classic games, and tasty treats from each era. Whether it’s grooving to '80s hits or enjoying '90s snacks, campers will have an unforgettable time traveling through time and celebrating the best of every decade!
Medieval Times
July 14-18
Step into a world of castles, dragons, and royal adventures at Medieval Times Summer Camp! Campers will transform into kings, queens, knights, and dragons as they embark on exciting quests and legendary challenges. From royal feasts and jousting tournaments to crafting shields and crowns, every day will be filled with fun medieval activities. Get ready for a time-traveling adventure where imagination reigns and everyone is a hero in their own medieval story!

Wild Planet
July 21-25
​Embark on an exciting adventure at Wild Planet Summer Camp, where campers will journey through the wonders of the animal kingdom and the beauty of nature! From exploring diverse habitats to discovering the layers of the Earth and natural wonders, each day is filled with hands-on activities and interactive lessons. Kids will learn about animals, ecosystems, and the planet’s incredible natural landscapes through games, crafts, and outdoor exploration. Get ready to dive into the wild side of nature and uncover the secrets of our amazing world!
Night at the movies
July 28-August 1
Get ready for an epic cinematic adventure at Night at the Movies Summer Camp! Campers will journey through some of the most exciting movie worlds! Each day, campers will dive into the action with themed games, crafts, and challenges inspired by their favorite movies. Whether it's hunting for dinosaurs, sailing the high seas, or putting on a circus performance, every day brings a new blockbuster adventure! Lights, camera, action—it's time for a movie-themed summer like no other! (No actual movies will be watched during this camp, but rather we will be living the movies)
Outdoor Survival Skills & Wild Crafting
August 4-8
​Prepare for an adventure in the great outdoors at Outdoor Survivor Skills & Wild Crafting Summer Camp! Campers will learn essential survival skills like building shelters, starting fires, and navigating nature, while also discovering the art of wild crafting—using plants and natural resources to create tools, art, and more. Through hands-on activities, games, and outdoor challenges, kids will gain confidence and knowledge to thrive in the wilderness. Get ready for a summer full of exploration, creativity, and survival fun in the wild!
Roots Homestead
August 11-15
​Step back to simpler times at Roots Homesteading Summer Camp, where kids will discover the joys of self-sufficiency and farm life! Campers will learn essential homesteading skills like gardening, cooking with fresh ingredients, caring for animals, and making homemade crafts. Through hands-on activities, they’ll connect with the earth, create their own creations, and gain a new appreciation for nature and sustainability. Get ready for a fun, educational summer filled with the roots of traditional life!
